It is a very special experience to see the hot-blooded author, painter and actress, who has her own style of writing reads that make you smile, live on stage. When she acts in her positive way and performs the texts of her 14 books in the finest way of acting, the lectern turns into a cheerful “one-woman-theatre”. Being full of "joie de vivre" she allows her audience to look into her heart and share all of the emotions a fully lived live offers. At the end of such a “theatre” everyone feels consoled because there is only a very fine line between laughing and crying.

Under these circumstances a visit at the gallery “Alte Schule” in Bad Endbach becomes an unforgettable experience.

I get myself

A mortar made of marble

Grind my sorrows

In it, superfine,

Until they are almost dust

And hold the mortar

Into the wind

Brigitte Koischwitz, painter and author, was born in Berlin and lives now in Sylt and Römershausen, an idyllic place near Marburg.

The mere fact of having two precious residences implies permanent movement, a lot of encounters and events that are worth being recorded in humorous stories. That’s how the author succeeds in catching moments of life in a refreshing way.

But there are also times when bitter situations have to be bore.

With her poems and thoughts she also expressed those feelings in a clear tongue.

The beautiful paintings and illustrations accomplish her books perfectly
